Healthy School

pupilsYsgol Abererch has enrolled on the Gwynedd Healthy Schools scheme and is now working on phase 5 of the scheme. The scheme enables the school to make a positive contribution towards the health and well-being of the pupils, teachers and wider community by developing an environment that promotes health.

A Healthy School presents aspects of health and well-being through the following:
- the National Curriculum/Foundation Phase activities;
- the Hidden Curriculum and school ethos;
- developing on links that already exist between the home, community and other specialist
agencies.
